In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, CADE opens an investigation in the medical and pharmaceutical sector

On March 18, 2020 (Wednesday), the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, CADE opened a preparatory administrative inquiry procedure to investigate whether companies in the health sector are arbitrarily and abusively increasing the prices of products used for prevention and medical care, related to Covid-19.

Within 10 (ten) days, companies in the sector must submit the invoices for the products sold. The targets of the investigation are hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, distributors and manufacturers of surgical masks, alcohol gel sanitizers, and manufacturers of medications for the treatment of symptoms of Covid-19. For more information, access the link.
