Our firm and our lawyers are continuously recognized and mentioned in the principal (most important) rankings and publications.

GCA is ranked in 1st place among the most admired specialized firms in Competition Law; 2nd place in the areas of International Trade, Aeronautics, Compliance, Packaging, Machinery, and Equipment; and 3rd place in the areas of Technology, Food, Beverages and Tobacco, Pharmaceuticals, and Health. Leonor Cordovil, Mauro Grinberg, Karen Ruback, and Ricardo Motta were named amongst the most admired lawyers in the country in the area of Competition Law, and Leonor Cordovil was named one of the most admired lawyers in the areas of Food, Beverages, and Tobacco, Packaging, Pharmaceuticals, Machinery and Equipment, Health, Steel and Mining, and Technology.

GCA was also highlighted in Análise Advocacia Regional – 2022. It was awarded 1st place among law firms with specialized practices in the Southeast Region of Brazil and is ranked 1st place amid the most admired law firms in the state of São Paulo.

GCA was recognized in the Chambers Brazil Guide: Contentious 2022 in the areas of Competition and International Trade. Mauro Grinberg was classified as a Senior Statesmen in the Competition/Antitrust category and Ricardo Motta was recognized in the area of International Trade. Leonor Cordovil was listed in both areas.

GCA is also ranked in the Chambers Global Guide 2022 for its performance in the International Trade area. Leonor Cordovil and Ricardo Motta were also individually ranked.

The Legal 500 Latin America 2022 recognized GCA among the best law firms in Brazil in the Competition and Antitrust Law category. It was also listed as Tier 2 in International Trade. In addition, the publication highlights Mauro Grinberg and Leonor Cordovil as "leading individuals," and nominates Karen Ruback, Ricardo Motta, and Beatriz Cravo as "next generation partners."

GCA won the award as the best competition law firm in Brazil in 2021 (The Legal 500 Brazil Awards), offered by The Legal 500, with the following specific highlight:

GCA was classified as “Highly Recommended” in Competition Law in Brazil by the Global Competition Review. Leonor Cordovil and Ricardo Motta were nominated for the award of “Lawyer of the Year” in 2018 by the GCR Award in different categories. In 2020, the firm was nominated in the category of “Firm of the Year,” and Leonor Cordovil was once again recommended in the category of "Lawyer of the Year." Furthermore, three cases counseled and represented by the firm were nominated and were finalists of the GCR Awards that year: the concentration act (merger) of “Disney/Fox” in the category of “Merger Control Matter of the Year” and the administrative proceedings “CADE Investigation of Google’s Search Practices” and “Raízen/Shell’s Acquittal of Cartel Allegation,” both in the category of “Behavioral Matter of the Year.” Grinberg Cordovil Advogados and Leonor Cordovil, our partner, were also GCR Award finalists in the categories of “Regional Firm of the Year” and “Lawyer of the Year.”

GCA was ranked by Who's Who Legal 2022 in Competition Law and Trade & Customs. Leonor Cordovil is internationally classified as a "thought leader," as she is considered one of the best lawyers in Brazil, due to her "solid academic background." Beyond this, she is highly recommended by her colleagues, thanks to her “deep knowledge of antitrust law." Partner Mauro Grinberg was appointed as a "first level professional" with experience covering the whole antitrust area, while Ricardo Motta was described as a "representative for major clients in complex antitrust issues." In Trade & Customs, Ricardo Motta and Leonor Cordovil were also recognized and recommended. Leonor was mentioned as being "very active and experienced" and Ricardo Motta was highlighted as having an “outstanding ability to advise on trade regulation and countervailing duty cases.”
