Raquel has 15 years of experience advising Brazilian and international clients on a wide range of competition law matters, including merger filings before the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE, investigations into anticompetitive practices, negotiation of Leniency Agreements and Cease and Desist Agreements – TCCs, as well as representation of clients in administrative proceedings.

She has extensive experience in the competition assessment of agreements, commercial policies, business models, commercial differentiation practices and other business strategies. She also advises on the design and implementation of competition compliance programs, conducts corporate consultancy and assists with measures aimed at preventing and mitigating competition law risks.

Throughout her career, she has advised companies across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, automotive, financial services, infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, construction, retail, food and beverages and steel.

Raquel also has experience as an in-house counsel, having worked for large publicly traded companies. In this capacity, she participated in the assessment and structuring of new products, agreements and commercial policies, as well as M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, corporate governance projects and strategic domestic and cross-border negotiations.

Raquel completed the Máster en Derecho de la Unión Europea at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2013 and holds a Law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, obtained in 2011.
