After the suspension of administrative procedural deadlines, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the National Industrial Property Institute – INPI – reported on Tuesday (May 26th) that deadlines will resume on June 1st. The ongoing deadlines will be resumed from where they left off, continuing to have the amount of time remaining before the suspension. Furthermore, concerning deadlines that have not yet started, they will start counting on June 1st.
The INPI will also analyze the claims of users, who are unable to carry out procedural acts, in order to consider the postponement of the manifestation under fair justification. Although the deadlines for administrative proceedings are running again, the face-to-face service is still suspended, due to health and safety issues. To learn more, click here.
