On this Thursday, August 29, 2019, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro completed the nominations for the Administrative Council of Economic Defense – Cade. Lenisa Rodrigues Prado, which last week had been appointed as CADE’s chief prosecutor, was nominated as Commissioner. Her previous appointment was canceled, and Walter de Agra Júnior, the current chief prosecutor, was nominated for a second term.
The nominations of the other three Commissioners and the General Superintendent published last week were not changed. These names must now be approved by the Senate.
