Mauro has worked on fundamental issues of antitrust law in Brazil since the emergence of this area until now, having witnessed and contributed to its development in the country. Due to his expertise and his experience, he is highly praised by many clients. He acts in all aspects of antitrust law – including notifications of mergers, acquisitions, defenses in Cade, and judicial cases – with an emphasis on complex conducts. His performances in the so-called generics cartels and the case of fuel distribution in Belo Horizonte were remarkable. Working in virtually lost cases is nothing new for Mauro. He already acted and acts in markets, such as pharmaceuticals, auto parts, fuel distribution, ports, navigation, glass, chemical products, and others. He is a frequent speaker and author of articles in Brazil and abroad. Mauro is graduated by the School of Law of the University of São Paulo and has a Master´s Degree by the School of Law of the University of Pernambuco.
