Academic Background

LL.M and M.A. Degrees in Law and Economics from Hamburg University (Germany) and Vienna University (Austria). Master of Science in Public Law and Bachelor of Laws Degrees from the University of São Paulo – USP.

Experience

Sara advises and represents clients from different sectors (including steel industry, energy, beverage and food, education, agribusiness, auto parts, telecommunications among others) in matters involving competition law, international trade and consumer law. In the competition field, her expertise covers merger controls, investigations, and settlement agreements with CADE.

She also holds experience in the competition assessment of contracts and commercial practices. In the international trade arena, Sara has represented clients in anti-dumping investigations and public interest assessment. With regards to consumer law, Sara’s main practice encompasses advertising and labelling issues. Concerning that, she has represented clients before the National Council of Self-Regulation in Advertising (CONAR) and has acted as external consultant in advertisement campaigns. Moreover, Sara has represented companies in inquiries and procedures carried out within the National Consumer Defense System.
