Specialized in Business Economics (Masters in Business Economics) from the School of Economics of Fundação Getúlio Vargas – EESP/FGV). Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - UFMG.
Bernardo advises clients on various issues and matters related to international trade and competition law. The clients taken care of by him are relevant players in diverse industries such as chemical, metals industry, capital goods, construction and materials, and energy.
Bernardo’s international trade practice includes counselling national and foreign clients on diverse trade matters before the Brazilian administrative and judicial bodies, such as trade remedies (dumping, subsidies and safeguards), bilateral and regional agreements and customs law.
Bernardo also has a strong background assisting Brazilian companies before foreign authorities, working closely with clients and foreign partner firms in trade remedies (dumping, subsidies and safeguard) and other trade related barriers procedures, which include the authorities of Argentina, Canada, European Union and the United States of America.
Bernardo has competition law practice expertise advising and representing domestic and foreign companies on investigations of conducts, such as cartel and unilateral practices, the negotiation of agreements with antitrust authorities and compliance training.
